Computer Technology in Action 8 Syllabus
Course description and topics:
Computer Technology in Action 8 will offer students an opportunity to advance their skills and confidence in a technology-driven society. We will work with basic computer fundamentals as well as the many facets of various software applications. Topics covered will include:
- computer fundamentals
- advanced use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- web content evaluation
- technology in the news
- introductory database functions
- multimedia production -- namely iMovie, iPhoto, and graphics conversion
- Internet and related telecommunications
- web page development
- electronic portfolio development
