Course description and topics:
Information Technology 6 will offer instruction and practice with computer skills associated with academic and information-seeking purposes. This course will be offered for one term as part of the World Language Exploratory rotation. Topics covered will include:
- computer-related terms and operation
- touch-typing techniques, practice, and ergonomic considerations
- Internet safety
- Internet searching and evaluation
- Copyright law
- Presentations using PowerPoint as a visual aid
- Practice with other technologies as time and student-experience permit
