Español 7 -- Programa del curso (Syllabus)
Course description and topics:
The two years combined of Grades 7 and 8 Spanish will complete the equivalent of the first year of high school Spanish. It will also prepare you in basic communication skills in both Spanish and English. Learning a language is more than simply knowing how to say "what's your name?" It is learning how to adapt to different situations and appreciating different ways of living and communicating. The reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills we work on in this class will help you in ways that you may not realize.
Topics will include:
- introducing yourself and others
- sharing where you and others are from
- expressing likes and dislikes
- talking about school -- supplies, classes, activities
- telling time
- places -- how to get there, where they are
- various cultural topics such as geography, music, art, crafts, etc.
